History

MS-Schmelzer had 45 years of experience when it merged with the Tech Power Electronics Group. The merger enabled our company to grow to meet market need. Since its creation, the company has aimed to offer its customers high-quality, innovative and cost-efficient solutions.

From the outset, Manfred Schmelzer who started the company in 1969, has followed the principle of being a flexible and competent partner for customers for customised magnetic components. Today component development is located in its headquarters in Nimburg.

In 1996, the subsidiary MS-Balti was opened.

In 2006, MS – Schmelzer set up a new subsidiary MS Transformers India Pvt. Ltd in Coimbatore which since then has been supplying customers in Asia.

In 2014, the company merged with the schwa-medico group, becoming a leading company in electronics with transformers and industrial products.
